Aura Copeland | 2026 Biography

Aura Copeland is a Lithuanian-born gallerist, footwear designer, and cultural architect driving the urban evolution of Downtown Miami. With a structural foundation from the Vilnius Academy of Arts and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), she applies technical precision to both high-end footwear design and the curation of contemporary art. Currently, Copeland operates three galleries on East Flagler Street—Aura Copeland Gallery, Aura Copeland Contemporary, and Les Couleurs Art Collective—working in strategic alignment with Mana Common to transform the district into a global cultural hub. Her mission is anchored in high-impact community building; while her galleries host international talent, she is most passionate about providing a definitive "first break" to emerging local Miami artists. By institutionalizing the monthly Downtown Miami Art Walk and Downtown Miami Art Week, she has created a vital platform for young talent to flourish within the city’s revitalization.

Her global footprint is rooted in a decade of leadership as the president of Les Couleurs Charity, where she established and ran arts education programs for underprivileged children across Haiti, Nepal, and Mexico. She continues this humanitarian legacy today by leading the arts program at the Ujuzi Co-Creation Hub in Uganda’s Nakivale Refugee Settlement. This cross-continental initiative bridges the gap between global humanitarian efforts and the professional art market by bringing the works of refugee artists directly to her Miami galleries for exhibition. With a digital reach of nearly half a million followers and her Art with Aura Podcast, Copeland is a definitive voice connecting international design, social advocacy, and the local creative class.
